Pass., aor. ἐπαρῳνήθην D.22.63: pf. πεπαρῴνημαι PCair.Zen.288 (iii B. C.). Luc.JTr.14, cf. Moer.p.332 P.: used only in Com. and Prose:—
behave ill at wine, play drunken tricks, Ar.Ec.143, Antipho 4.1.7, Lys.3.19, etc.; οὐ νήφοντα δεῖ παροινεῖν Antiph.40.2; οὐχ οἱ σφόδρα μεφύοντες παροινοῦσιν, ἀλλ' οἱ ἀκροθώρακες Arist.Pr.871a8, cf. 875a29, X.l.c.; εἴς τινα towards one, Ar.Fr.249 (prob.), Antipho 4.1.6, D.54.4: so, generally, insult, maltreat, PEleph. 12.2(iii B.
