προθέω (B), 3pl. προθέουσιν, sts. taken as a form of προτίθημι, found once in Hom., τοὔνεκά οἱ προθέουσιν ὀνείδεα μυθήσασθαι; do they therefore appoint for him revilings to utter? Il.1.291 (but expld. fr. προθέω (A) by Aristarch., with ὀνείδεα as subj.; perh., do his insults dash forward for utterance?).
