Arboreal on Windows

To install Arboreal (version 5.0 or later) on Microsoft Windows:

1. Windows XP is recommended. You will need version 1.3.x-1.4.x of the Sun Java runtime for Windows. If the appropriate Java runtime is not available, Arboreal will prompt you to download it.

2. Download the latest Windows package of Arboreal (arboreal-win.zip) from the Harvard Archimedes site.

3. Extract the contents of the .zip file. You will need a program such as WinZip.

4. You should now have a directory (folder) called arboreal. You may install this folder in a place such as Program Files.

5. To start Arboreal, open the arboreal directory, and double-click on the arboreal program (arboreal.exe).
